Watch-party guide

Before you gather

Choose The Loft for 2–12 people or The Black Box for up to 30. For a first trial, start with 4–8 people; room limits are not a guarantee of event performance. Members can create a room immediately after signing in; guests can join public rooms or a room link. Use a password when you want a private room.

Prepare a short test

Use a video you own or have permission to share. Upload it from the media library and wait for processing to finish. Test playback with one other participant before everyone arrives. YouTube playback depends on whether the video allows embedded playback. The host does not grant access to paid streaming subscriptions.

0–3 min · Settle in

Share the room link and, for a private room, its password. Ask everyone to find a seat and try one reaction. Keep another way to contact the host if someone cannot join.

3–13 min · Watch together

The host selects the video and controls shared playback. Participants can sit, clap or cheer. Keep the host connected. If playback fails, pause together and reopen the media controls; use the participant menu for removal or reporting.

13–18 min · Compare notes

Use your usual group channel to ask which moment people enjoyed and whether joining or playback was difficult. Voice chat is not included. Ask before sharing anyone's name, screenshot or feedback.

18–20 min · Make the next plan

Agree on the next screening in your usual group channel. Keep your original video: uploads expire within 24 hours. Remove files you no longer need. There is no automatic recap or event reminder yet.

Before you join

Do I need a VR headset?

No. MingleStage runs in a desktop web browser with keyboard and mouse controls.

Can I bring any 3D model?

Members can import GLB 2.0 files up to 12 MiB with a rig and seven required animations. VRM and automatic rigging are not supported yet.

Can anyone join my room?

Public rooms can be discovered by members and guests. Private rooms use their room link and host-set password. A room host can remove participants; administrators can block accounts.

Is it ready for a paid event?

Early access is for early testing. Public reliability targets and commercial plans are still being prepared.

Gather. Watch. React.
